Dr An Pham returns to MEG after spending 2020-2021 completing a fellowship in rhinology and rhinoplasty at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics (UIHC). There had been some time prior spent in studying and passing Unites States Medical Licensing Examinations and obtaining a US medical license before moving her family across the Pacific. The pandemic did not, fortunately, stand in the way.
During her fellowship, she had the opportunity to work in a large quaternary care facility with a high volume of work in the area of sinus disease, allergy and facial plastic surgery. She was fortunate to work with Professors Scott Graham, Jarrett Walsh and Scott Owen. UIHC is well known for its Otolaryngology training and its surgical protocols are used worldwide. Dr Pham performed complex sinus surgery, skull base surgery, functional and cosmetic rhinoplasty. She also had excellent exposure to the non-surgical care of chronic sinus disease and allergy as well as experience with new drugs such as monoclonal antibodies.
Dr An Pham brings to MEG advanced sinus surgery skills, new techniques in rhinoplasty and next generation understanding of chronic sinus disease and non-surgical treatment. Her time spent in the USA brings a different perspective that adds to the growing diversity of knowledge and skills of the practice. All this is on the foundation of excellent ENT training within Victoria and New South Wales across a wide range of hospitals and readiness to treat all ENT related concerns including paediatric conditions and head and neck tumours as well.
