We are pleased to announce that Melbourne ENT Group now offers in-office intra-tympanic steroid injections.
This is a therapeutic technique that has evidence for some benefit in ear conditions such as:
- Sudden Sensori-neural hearing loss.
- Endolymphatic Hydrops (e.g. Meniere’s Disease)
- Auto-immune inner ear disorders.
Candidacy for such a technique will be assessed by our ENT surgeons, and performed by our Otology fellowship sub-speciality trained surgeons – Dr Guillermo Hurtado, and Dr Fiona Hill, at our MEG Richmond rooms.
The procedure is performed in our office under local anaesthetic during a 30 minute consultation.
For more information see our new Intra-Tympanic Corticosteroids Procedural information sheet, or please don’t hesitate to contact our rooms.
