An ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat) specialist, also known as an Otolaryngologist, is a medical professional who diagnoses, treats, and manages conditions related to the ear, nose, and throat. They also deal with issues related to the head and neck.
While a referral is not necessarily required, it is preferred and strongly encouraged. A referral is our primary source of information about you from your GP, and importantly lists information such as your medical history, medications etc. Following your consultation our clinicians will write back to your GP about your visit & the plan moving forward for your care.
Depending on demand, we are currently able to offer patients an appointment within 6-8 weeks. This can vary depending on which specialist you wish to see and the location you wish to attend. We do have cancellation spots for clinically urgent referrals.
If you require immediate medical attention or are in urgent need, we recommend attending your nearest hospital Emergency Department. While we do our best to accommodate patients as early as possible, appointment availability may be limited at times.
If your GP or referring Doctor believes an urgent booking is required, please have them call the practice directly – we’ll be happy to try to work to a solution.
Yes! Once we’ve confirmed your appointment booking (you’ve paid the $50 deposit to secure the booking and provided us with the requested paperwork) we’ll be happy to add you to our cancellation list in case an earlier appointment becomes available that we can offer.
We accept a deposit for of $50 for all appointments, which is held in trust against your booking and taken off the total fee on the day.
The deposit ensures that all patients who request a booking, are committed to coming for their appointment & to ensure our clinicians can look after as many patients in need as the appointment diary allows.
Yes, all we ask for is 72 hours notice either by phone or in writing (SMS or email), if this is adhered to your deposit will be returned in full. If you need to reschedule your appointment, your deposit will be transferred to your new appointment and will not be lost.
The initial consultation fee is $250. However, please be advised that additional procedures or investigations may be required during the consultation, which could increase the total cost to up to $550. You will be entitled to a Medicare rebate if you are eligible for Medicare and have a valid GP referral.
Private Health Insurance generally does not help cover costs for consultations. But international patients may be able to submit a claim for consideration to their insurer.
If you’re not sure, our team will be happy to print you off an itemised receipt following your consultation so you can check with your health fund directly.
We do offer consultations on Saturdays, but it's on an occasional basis. We recommend checking with us in advance to confirm availability for weekend appointments.
We require a copy of your referral, patient registration form and any results prior to your appointment.
Please ensure you have completed our patient registration form prior, this can be found on your confirmation email and also on our website. You can attach your referral to the submission or email to us directly.

You may undergo an examination during your first appointment or be required to return to the practice at a later date. By the end of your first appointment, you should have a clear idea of the next steps and what to expect.

We will endeavour to get back to you within 2 business days, if not sooner.
Most initial consultations must be done in person, but if a follow up booking is required, your clinician may offer to do this review by Telehealth if appropriate. If you’re unsure, just ask our friendly team.
Depending on the urgency of your condition, the length and complexity of the surgery, we may be able to offer a date between 2-6 weeks after consultation.
Depending on your concern, we may be able to provide an estimate on the surgeon’s fees prior to your visit, however it would be an estimate only. There are a number of variables that affect a quote including the actual surgery to be performed, the Anaesthetic fees, Hospital fees and your insurance status and level of cover.
Following your consultation, if surgery is indicated & offered by the clinician, we will provide you with an itemised quote such that you have a full understanding of how much your out-of-pocket costs will be and have informed financial consent.
